Cluster Football
On the 5th of October we went to a cluster football match and our A team won and our B team lost but we were up against quite good players. We were quite disappointed about losing but very pleased that the A team won. People in the background were cheering for us.
We played at Symondsbury. It was a big field with a bar in the hut and we had juice and biscuits. We played against Symondsbury and Loders.
Powerstock A football team played Symondsbury A as our first match. The
players were: Fred, Ben, Tom, Sam, Rhia, Becky and Ollie. Reserves were Emma,
Bradie and Hattie. Bradie was swapped in and Becky went to sit on the sideline.
It was a close match and everybody was cheering for us like mad. We were so
confident that Ben, one of our top players, would score and when he did he did a
lap of honour and got on with the match. It was one nil up and we were winning
the match - the final score was one nil to us.
Nick was a fantastic goalie and was diving everywhere to save the goals. Everyone was cheering for him and so he had a boost of confidence and saved loads of goals. The B team had a real go to win the competition for Powerstock but Symondsbury won.
The results were:
One nil to Powerstock A playing Symondsbury A.
Two nil to Loders B playing Powerstock B.
One nil to Powerstock A playing Loders A.
Five nil to Symondsbury B playing Powerstock B.

Powerstock School just went to a football match. We had a A team and a B team. For our first match we played Symondsbury school and we won...... YES!!!!!. Lots of people came to watch and support us like our parents and some friends. We got down there in lots of peoples cars, some parents and teachers drove us down. The teachers and parents stood around talking, only half watching the game.
We were going mad with cheering also some of the parents were going mad especially when they heard that we were winning. Miss Dear was keeping score lots of people got swapped round, so everybody had a go if they wanted to play. We all thought that we had a fair chance of winning. We played all of our matches winning most of them. At the end we gathered around to hear the score and guess what?... We won - yes we won!
We were all really happy with one another we all ran to the hut, got a drink and a biscuit. We got our breath back and went home knowing that we won. We were so happy.
