On Friday the 3^rd of May 2002 we had a break from normal lessons to do some Chilean artwork and some Chilean dance. Instead of Maths we did art. There were pictures done by Chilean artists and we had a choice of what to draw. We used pastel and chalk to colour it and shading pencils or charcoal for the outline.

Mrs Deardon, Mrs Farrow, and Miss Dear helped us, gave us ideas and encouraged us with our artwork.

They were mostly abstract pictures and some still life, of fruit and people. The artist, who did most of the pictures, was called Araya Valdes. Everyone’s paintings were different and most were bright and colourful. It was a really Fun day and everyone enjoyed it.
